Nikia Coley, Operations Director

Nikia joined the AFTA team in February 2017, as Assistant to then Director of Operations, Kim Cox. In August 2017, she was named the Administrative Coordinator. In August 2021, Nikia was promoted to Operations Director where she is responsible for implementing policies, plans, programs and initiatives; organizing and overseeing the day-to-day operations; and ensuring compliance with all contractual and legal obligations of the organization.

Nikia is very proud of her work at AFTA and looks forward to growing with the organization, for years to come.

Melanie Aquino, Administrative Coordinator

Melanie joined the AFTA team in October 2021, as an Administrative Coordinator. She has a bachelors in multidisciplinary studies focusing on sociology, music tech and digital art. Prior to joining AFTA, Melanie worked as the Office Manager in a community center at Good Shepherds. Joining AFTA in 2021, Melanie was tasked with general administrative duties, assisting in website maintenance, and assisting in the annual conference.
