Introducing the emerging framework of Global Family Therapy, this article outlines the interaction between cultural worldviews and self-esteem. Clinical assessment and intervention are explored as well as considerations for expanding the role of culture from becoming a component of family therapy to becoming the emphasis of family therapy.
