Gloria Lopez-Henriquez is a bilingual-bicultural psychotherapist licensed in New Jersey and New York with over 15 years of expereince working with families and couples. She holds a Master degree in Counseling from Montclair Statue University and a Master in Social Work degree from Fordham University and received four years post-graduate training in couples and family therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. Clinically, she has done extensive work with families challenged by life transitions. One of her main areas of interest is the impact of migration in the family's life cycle at the functional and developmental levels. She has presented nationally and internationally on these topics. She taught at Montclair State University, in the Department of Family and Child Studies and was the director of several school-based programs for children and families in NYC. Currently, she is a faculty member of the Center for Family Community and Social Justice and is a consultant to the Goryeb Children's Hospital, Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology Department in their effor to implement family therapy as an integral part of their treatment. Ms. Lopez-Henriquez is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and a member of the American Family Therapy Academy.
